Natural grade A Guatemalan Jadeite carved Dragon pendant with an adjustable rope necklace. This is a large and very unique piece. The material is dark teal blue. It has less translucent and more pale colored "skin" outer layer with yellow marbling spots. The carving artisan reserved the rough skin of stone and carved them with cracks to make it look like a rock being cracked open. The inside portion of the material has beautiful icy translucency, and is carved into a dragon on the front and a dragon tail on the back side. The "skin" has a satin rough polishing finish while the carved section has shiny polishing finish. The pendant looks like a dragon breaking through the rocks. Just an amazing composition and execution. The material has icy translucent clarity, super fine, smooth and pure texture and amazing luster. Despite the excellent thickness, light can travel through the jadeite completely and easily. Please refer to the photos for size and measurements. The carving on this piece is completely done by hand with artful design and intricate details. It is on a light beige colored rope necklace that is adjustable up to about 27" in length. It has a natural Guatemalan teal blue jadeite round bead above the pendant for accent. All jadeite material used are 100% natural with ZERO treatment! This piece weighs about 22 grams entirely.
