Natural grade A icy Jadeite pendant with solid 18K yellow gold bail. The jadeite featured is carved into a small Pixiu. Pixiu is an ancient Chinese mythological creature that feeds on gold and jewels and keeps all in. Pixiu is believed to bring protection to its wearer in his/her wealth and overall well-being, and to ward off negative energy.

The jadeite is natural icy green in color. It is a lighter and brighter shade of green. It is often referred to as "apple green". It has icy translucent icy clarity, very fine, pure and smooth texture, and excellent luster. The jadeite is carved by hand with great details. This is a petite sized pendant.
