Natural grade A Jadeite Pendant on a rope necklace. The jadeite featured is natural icy translucent natural Wuji jadeite. Wuji refers to black and/or gray marbling (乌鸡) found in jadeite material. Unlike mineral inclusions, Wuji marbling is desirable and believed to possess protection energy to its wearer. Wuji marbling is often compared to Chinese traditional black and white watercolor landscape paintings due to its picturesque patterns. The piece is carved with scenery (Shan Shui) including mountains, trees, waters and buildings. The carving is done by hand with artful design and intricate details.
