Natural grade A stunning icy jadeite carved crescent pendant on 999 sterling silver necklace. It features a beautiful crescent-shaped jadeite carved with a peony flower with a Ruyi on one side and a bird on the other. This is a "large" sized pendant. Please refer to photos for size and measurements. The carving design symbolizes prosperity and happiness. The carving on this piece is all done by hand with intricate details and exquisit design. The jadeite is old mine material. It has stunning teal blue color, icy translucent to highly translucent clarity, incredibly fine, pure and smooth texture that looks like jelly, and outstanding luster. It is attached to a beautiful 999 purity sterling silver specialty chain necklace. The chain is well made, sturdy and super smooth. It is about 2.8mm in width. It is about 20.75" in length and can be extended to about 22.5" with the extension chain. Sterling silver with 999 purity has more silver content than 925 sterling silver and, therefore, has more weight to it. This entire necklace weighs about 28 grams. The necklace has a "W" hook closure. Even though this is a sturdy and solid piece, silver is malleable and can become brittle if bent repeatedly. Please wear with care.
