Natural grade A Jadeite pendant. The pendant features an icy translucent jadeite that is carved into a flying Pixiu (貔貅). Pixiu is an ancient Chinese mythological creature that feeds on gold and jewels and keeps all in. Pixiu is believed to bring protection to its wearer in his/her wealth and overall well-being. Most of the carved Pixiu's are in a sitting position. This Pixiu is carved in standing position with wings spread ready to fly. The carving is done completely by hand with great details. This piece of Jadeite has light dusty green color, icy translucent clarity, pure, fine and smooth texture, and outstanding luster. This is 100% natural untreated jadeite.
