Natural grade A "petite" Jadeite pendant with a solid 18K white gold bail. The pendant features an icy translucent and gelatinous light dusty blue jadeite that is carved into a Pixiu (貔貅). Pixiu is an ancient Chinese mythological creature that feeds on gold and jewels and keeps all in. Pixiu is believed to bring protection to its wearer in his/her wealth and overall well-being, and to ward off negative energy. This piece of Jadeite has translucent icy clarity, extremely pure and smooth texture that looks like jelly, and outstanding luster.
