Grade A natural Jadeite pendant. The pendant features an icy translucent and gelatinous sky blue or light blue jadeite that is carved into a flying Pixiu (貔貅). Pixiu is an ancient Chinese mythological creature that feeds on gold and jewels and keeps all in. Pixiu is believed to bring protection to its wearer in his/her wealth and overall well-being. Most of the carved Pixiu's are in a sitting position. This Pixiu is carved in standing position with wings spread ready to fly.
