Grade A natural Icy Highly Translucent Wuji Jadeite pendant. Wuji is a specific black and gray marbling that is, unlike mineral inclusions, highly desirable and believed to possess protective energy to its wearer. Because of its free formed patterns, it is often compared to black and white watercolor paintings. This Jadeite material is made into a Ping An Kou design. Ping An Kou is a donut shaped blessing amulet, which symbolizes togetherness, safety and good luck. This is a piece of aged material. For jadeite, the older the material, the smoother, cleaner and more lustrous it can get and therefore more valuable. This piece has icy highly Translucent clarity, super smooth texture that looks gelatinous, and incredible luster. It is so lustrous that it looks like it has been dipped in oil. It is all natural with ZERO treatment! This piece is hand cut and polished to best showcase its color. It had a wonderful thickness which is also a characteristic of higher quality Ping An Kou. It is set with a sterling silver bail in a Chinese Knot design. This is a very nice sized pendant. It comes with a black cord that is about 17” ready to wear.
