Grade A natural Guatemalan carved Jadeite pendant on a solid sterling silver bail. Please refer to photos for size and measurements. The material is 100% natural and untreated. This jadeite has dusty blue color with a little bit subtle purplish blue undertone. The edges of the piece are yellow in color. The bicolor is formed naturally and quite unique looking. The purple hue shows up under candlelight or artificial lighting. The jadeite is carved with a gorgeous lotus flower and to the right of the flower, there is a meditating monk. This type of carving is also known as "Enlightenment". The carving is completely done by hand with amazing designs and intricate details. The jadeite material has icy translucent clarity, super fine, pure and smooth texture that looks like jelly, and outstanding luster. There is a natural stone line that can be seen on the back of the pendant. It has been engraved over. With the help of flashlight, there are some clear marbling lines that can be observed on the back of the pendant as well. Please know these are not cracks or stone lines. They are just colorless marbling lines, also known as "water lines". The entire piece weighs about 11 grams and it comes with a solid sterling silver bail. (LJH150) Chain NOT included.
