Natural grade A Guatemalan Jadeite pendant. The pendant features an icy translucent to highly translucent and gelatinous bright blue jadeite that is carved into a Pixiu (貔貅). Pixiu is an ancient Chinese mythological creature that feeds on gold and jewels and keeps all in. Pixiu is believed to bring protection to its wearer in his/her wealth and overall well-being. This piece of Jadeite has beautiful icy translucency despite the thickness, super pure and smooth texture, and incredible luster. The material is so pure and clean that it looks gelatinous! It is so lustrous that it looks as if it has been dipped in oil. It has a beautiful bright blue color and also contains some dark teal blue marbling spots which can be seen when put in front flashlight. This is a flawless piece, no stone lines or cracks.
