Grade A Natural jadeite Ping An Kou pendant on a rope necklace. Ping An Kou is a donut shaped blessing amulet. "Ping An" in Chinese means "peace and safety" while "Kou" means "button". In many cultures, it symbolizes safety and good luck, typically used for protection and warding off negative energy. The jadeite featured has natural light beige color on one side, and beige with dark yellow and red marbling on the other. The colors are completely natural and untreated. This is a nice sized donut with excellent thickness. Despite the thickness, it has nice icy translucent clarity, fine, smooth texture and excellent luster. Please refer to the photos for actual measurements. The Ping An Kou is entirely engraved, double sided, with beautiful retro style floral design. There are some natural white, and less translucent marbling patches on the donut and where the red marbling spots are have rough texture. The jadeite material is 100% natural and untreated with ZERO enhancement. The pendant is tied onto a brown colored rope necklace, fully adjustable up to 26” in length.
