Natural grade A icy translucent Wuji and vibrant green marbled jadeite Ping An Kou donut pendant on an adjustable rope necklace. Ping An Kou is a donut shaped blessing amulet. "Ping An" in Chinese means "peace and safety" while "Kou" means "button". In many cultures, it symbolizes safety and good luck, typically used for protection and warding off negative energy. This is a special Ping An Kou. It is unusally thick, and entirely engraved with retro style designs. The engraving is all done by hand. The material is unusual as well. It is natural Wuji jadeite but also with vibrant green marbling. Wuji refers to black marbling found in natural jadeite. It is NOT mineral inclusion. It is often compared to Chinese traditional black and white watercolor paintings for its unique picturesque patterns. It is also believed to possess protective energy for its wearer. The green marbled section is more icy translucent than the wuji section. Overall, the material has fine, pure and smooth texture and beautiful luster. Above the Ping An Kou, there is a natural icy highly translucent Wuji jadeite drum bead as accent. The jadeite used are 100% natural and untreated. Please refer to photos for size and measurements.
