Grade A natural icy Jadeite Pendant with adjustable beaded jadeite necklace. The pendant is made of a unique bicolored natural jadeite. The outer layer or the rind of the jadeite has dark yellow color while the inner layer of the jadeite is icy white with very subtle dusty blue undertone. Typically, the rind of the jadeite is dull and opaque but this piece's rind is completely icy translucent with rich dark yellow color. The carving artisan artfully reserved the rind as the backdrop of the pendant, and carved it into a lily pad. The inner section of the piece is carved into a stunning lotus flower. The carving is done by hand with beautiful design and intricate details. The flower is highly polished while the lily pad on the back has matte finish. The surface of the rind is a little rough. Using matte finish gives it a more rustic look. Overall, the material has icy translucent clarity, very fine, smooth and pure texture and excellent luster. Some subtle crystal structure can be seen when light shines through the material. This is a nice sized piece with wonderful thickness. Please refer to photos for actual measurements. The pendant comes with a dark brown colored rope necklace that is fully adjustable up to 27" in length. The jadeite material used is 100% natural and untreated.
