Grade A natural Jadeite pendant on a rope necklace. The jadeite is carved into a Pixiu (貔貅). Pixiu is an ancient Chinese mythological creature that feeds on gold and jewels and keeps all in. Pixiu is believed to bring protection to its wearer in his/her wealth and overall well-being. This piece of Jadeite has icy translucent clarity, super pure, smooth and fine texture that looks gelatinous, and excellent luster! It has light blue color with subtle teal undertone. The carving is all done by hand with exquisit designs and intricate details. Even the teeth and the claws are carved out clearly. The material is all natural with ZERO treatment! Please refer to the photos for actual measurements. Above the pixiu, there is a beautiful icy highly translucent natural Guatemalan jadeite barrel bead as accent. It has light blue color with subtle purplish undertone. This is tied on brown colored rope necklace (hand made with 1mm waxed cotton cords) ready to wear and it is adjustable up to about 25".
