Natural grade A jadeite carved Tang Horse pendant with a solid sterling silver bail. The pendant is carved entirely out of a natural icy jadeite that looks black and opaque but when light shines behind it, it becomes icy translucent with Wuji marbling. Light can travel through it completely and easily, despite the unusable thickness of the jadeite. Wuji refers to black marbling found in natural jadeite. It is NOT mineral inclusion. It is often compared to Chinese traditional black and white watercolor paintings for its unique picturesque patterns. It is also believed to possess protective energy and ward off negativity.

The jadeite has icy highly translucent clarity, extremely fine, pure and smooth texture that looks like jelly, and excellent luster. This is a nice sized and thick piece. Please refer to photos for actual measurement. The jadeite is carved into a 3D horse. The carving design is inspired by the horse sculptures from the Tang Dynasty and is done all by hand. The carving is double sided. It is 100% natural with ZERO enhancement. It comes with a solid sterling silver bail. The pendant weighs about 8 grams entirely.
