Natural grade A icy jadeite pendant with a solid sterling silver bail. The jadeite is carved into a beautiful 3D lotus pod with a small lotus flower on top. This is a good sized pendant with nice thickness. Please refer to photos for size and measurement. Lotus pod is a symbol of good luck and fortune. The carving is done by hand with amazing design and intricate details. This is "old mine" material which is more fine, and pure. It has very nice icy highly translucent clarity, exceptionally smooth, fine and pure texture that looks like jelly, and outstanding luster. The material is so clear and clean that it appears to glow. It has soft light green color with black Wuji marbling. Wuji refers to black marbling found in natural jadeite. It is NOT mineral inclusion. It is often compared to Chinese traditional black and white watercolor paintings for its unique picturesque patterns. It is also believed to possess protective energy and ward off negativity.
