Natural grade A Guatemalan Jadeite carved pendant with an adjustable rope necklace. This is a unique piece. The jadeite has the rough or "rind" attached and incorporated into the design. It gives the pendant a rustic and organic look. The jadeite is cut into a near teardrop shape. The front of it is carved with a leaves and a cicada. Cicada symbolizes resurrection, immortality, spiritual realization and ecstasy. The carving on this piece is completely done by hand with artful design and intricate details. Just an beautiful composition and execution. This jadeite has dark yellow colored rind and light blue underneath. The section with the carving is naturally bicolored with both light blue and yellow colors. It has icy translucent clarity, super fine, smooth and pure texture, and amazing luster. Although the rind isn't icy and has rough texture, light can shine through it completely. Please know there may be stone lines and/or surface cracks on the rind. This is a relatively large sized pendant with excellent thickness. Please refer to the photos for the measurements. The pendant is on a rope necklace that is fully adjustable up to about 27" in length. The jadeite material is 100% natural with ZERO treatment! This necklace weighs about 26 grams entirely.
