Natural grade A Guatemalan icy Jadeite carved link chain necklace in sterling silver with adjustable length. The necklace features interlocked jadeite square link chain. There are 9 links in this chain. This is carved out of natural grade A Guatemalan teal blue jadeite. One of the links also has subtle yellow marbling. The links are hand carved entirely interlocking and as one piece. This type of carving is very complex and extremely time consuming and generates a lot of waste. This is usually done by very experienced and skilled carving artisans only.

The material used has beautiful teal blue color. Depending on lighting, the jadeite can look more green or blue in person. Although there is small variance in size among the links, they are about 8.6x8.6 in size and about 2.2mm in thickness. The material has icy highly translucent clarity, super pure, smooth and fine texture that looks like jelly, and excellent luster. The material is so clear and pure that it appears to glow. The jadeite is 100% natural and untreated. The length of the jadeite chain alone is about 2 1/8". The jadeite chain is attached to a sterling silver chain. The sterling silver chain is about 1.9mm wide. The necklace is about 17.75" in length including the clasp, and can be extended to 19.5" with the extension chain. The links on the sterling silver chain is big enough for the lobster claw clasp so technically, it can be shortened to any length if needed. The entire jadeite necklace weighs about 5 grams.
