Natural grade A Guatemalan Jadeite pendant with sterling silver bail. The pendant is made from a piece of natural Guatemalan jadeite that has dark teal color with subtle teal green undertone. Depending on lighting, the color may appear more green or blue in person. The material has icy translucent clarity, fine, pure and smooth texture that looks like jelly, and great luster. The material contains some snowflake like marbling and dark green marbling. The jadeite is carved into a Pixiu (貔貅). Pixiu is an ancient Chinese mythological creature that feeds on gold and jewels and keeps all in. Pixiu is believed to bring protection to its wearer in his/her wealth and overall well-being, and to ward off negative energy. This is 100% natural Guatemalan material, with ZERO treatment! This piece is hand cut, carved with amazing design and intricate details. This is not a relatively large pendant. The tail of the Pixiu has a hidden drill hole as well in case you would like to change it into a wrist wear instead.
