Natural Guatemalan grade A jadeite bead pendant/charm in sterling silver. The pendant features a 11.87 mm large sized natural jadeite round bead. The jadeite material has icy translucent clarity, super fine and smooth texture, and excellent luster. There are some white marbling spots and a couple of dark brown marbling spots on the backside of the pendant. The material has dark blue color with subtle teal and dusty (grayish) undertone. Despite the deep color saturation and large size, light can travel through it completely and easily. Depending on lighting, the jadeite can appear more green or blue in person. The jadeite is attached to a solid sterling silver bail in the design of the top part of a gourd. There sterling silver part of the gourd is completely solid and has a bow detail where the setting and the jadeite bead connects. The bail has latch snap closure. You can use it as a regular pendant or a charm on beaded bracelet or necklace. It is perfect for a strand of mini pearls as well. The opening of the bail is about 4.6mm in height. Please refer to the photos for details and measurements. This is not a large pendant but it weighs over 5 grams. The jadeite is 100% natural Guatemalan material with zero enhancement.
