Grade A natural Guatemalan jadeite pendant on an adjustable rope necklace. The jadeite featured is cut into a “donut” shaped blessing amulet, also known as Ping An Kou. "Ping An" in Chinese means "peace and safety" while "Kou" means "button". In Chinese culture, it symbolizes safety and good luck, typically used for protection and warding off negative energy.

This is an “old mine” jadeite with smooth and pure texture and color. The jadeite has very deep teal blue color, which is so saturated that it appears almost black under natural indoor lighting. When light shines through it, it showcases vivid teal blue color with very fine dark green marbling lines and subtle white snowflake-like marbling spots. The material has icy translucent clarity, extremely pure smooth, fine texture, and exceptional luster. Despite the saturated color, light can travel through it completely and easily. The material is so lustrous that it looks as if it has been dipped in oil. The jadeite material is 100% natural untreated. The pendant is tied on a non-stretchy brown colored rope necklace that is adjustable up to 26” in length. This is a nice sized Ping An Kou with excellent thickness (29.9mm in size and 6.78mm in thickness). Please refer to photos for actual measurements. The entire necklace weighs about 14 grams.
