Natural grade A Guatemalan jadeite carved Pixiu and natural Guatemalan jadeite round beads beaded bracelet. The bracelet features one beautifully carved natural Guatemalan jadeite Pixiu. Pixiu is an ancient Chinese mythological creature that feeds on gold and jewels and keeps all in. Pixiu is believed to bring protection to its wearer in his/her wealth and overall well-being, and to ward off negative energy.

The carving of this Pixiu is absolutely amazing, and all done by hand with precision and intricate details. Even the teeth and the claws of the Pixiu are carved out. There is a little ball carved within the mouth of the Pixiu. It is fully moveable. This type of carving takes time and skills. The jadeite is "old mine" material. It has rich dark teal blue color. Depending on lighting, it can appear more green or blue in person. The material has very nice icy highly translucent clarity. Despite the thickness of the piece, light can travel through it completely and easily. The texture is incredibly smooth, pure and fine that looks like jelly. It is so clear and pure that it appears to glow. It is so lustrous that it looks as if it has been dripped in oil. This is a premium quality piece.

The rest of the bracelet is made of natural Guatemalan jadeite round beads that are about 6.7 mm in size. These beads are very well matched in size, color and quality. They all have dark teal blue color with dark green marbling. The green marbling give them a dark overall appearance. The beads have icy translucent to highly translucent clarity and very fine and pure texture that looks like jelly and outstanding luster. A few of the beads may contain super fine stone lines. The bracelet is on dark green colored non-stretchy cords and fits about 7" in length. At the closure, there is a small natural jadeite Ping An Kou (donut) with matching quality. Although small, it is icy highly translucent with extremely fine texture and outstanding luster. The knotted closure has extensions and the bracelet can be loosened up by 1" to 1.25" if needed. However, the bracelet is meant to be worn at 7" and the bracelet is enclosed and cannot be opened up at the closure. PLEASE KNOW, it does take fine motor skills to operate the extension and can be challenging for some. Please take this into consideration. At the end of the extensions, there are two cute jadeite gourd shaped beads. All jadeite used in this bracelet is 100% natural and high quality material with ZERO treatment.
