Certified Natural grade A premium Icy Jadeite Carved Ping An Kou Pendant with a sterling silver bail. The pendant features one amazing old mine jadeite that is light green in color, and has very nice icy highly translucent to transparent clarity, incredibly fine, pure and smooth texture that looks like jelly, and exceptional luster. The material is so pure and clear that it shows no crystal structure and appears to glow, and so lustrous that it looks as if it has been dipped in oil.
The jadeite is hand cut and carved by a master level carver. It is made into a modified Ping An Kou. Ping An Kou is typically a donut shaped blessing amulet that symbolizes safety and good luck. It is believed to ward off negative energy. It is a well-loved design in jadeite jewelry. This Ping An Kou is flat on the back. On the front, it is carved with a beautiful goldfish swimming towards a blooming lotus flower on the top of the Ping An Kou. There are also Ruyi’s engraved on the front and the back of the Ping An Kou. Ruyi is a Chinese mythological wish-granting blessing amulet and bears well wishes for its wearer. The carving and engraving are 100% done by hand with exquisite design and intricate details. This is a nice sized pendant with amazing craftsmanship and outstanding quality. Please refer to photos for size and measurements.
Above the pendant, there is a sterling silver bail and a natural Guatemalan vibrant green jadeite cabochon in it. It is about 1.97mm in size. Although small, the cabochon has amazing color. The jadeite materials are 100% natural with ZERO treatment! This is definitely a collector’s piece. The donut comes with a certificate of authenticity (7802) and weighs 5.69 grams by itself. Chain NOT included.
