This jadeite material is cut into a Ping An Kou which is a donut shaped blessing amulet. Ping An Kou is often used in jadeite carving. It symbolizes unity, togetherness, safety and blessing. It is believed to bring protection to its wearer. This Ping An Kou has a substantial thickness. The Ping An Kou is about 17x17mm in size and 9.5mm in thickness. Most of the Ping An Kou is about 4-5mm in thickness. This one is well beyond it.
