Certified Natural grade A jadeite Ping An Kou pendant with sterling silver charm on an adjustable rope necklace. Ping An Kou is a donut shaped blessing amulet. "Ping An" in Chinese means "peace and safety" while "Kou" means "button". In many cultures, it symbolizes safety and good luck, typically used for protection and warding off negative energy. This is not a large Ping An Kou but with wonderful thickness. It is about 18.5 mm in size and over 10 mm in thickness. Please refer to photos for measurements. The jadeite is natural "old mine" material. It appears white in color but with pastel blue undertone. The undertone shows up stronger when it is against something white like a piece of paper. The material has beautiful icy translucent clarity. Despite the thickness, light can travel through the material easily and completely. It has super fine, smooth and pure texture that looks like jelly and outstanding luster. This is 100% natural and genuine with ZERO enhancement. It weighs 8.57 grams by itself and comes with a certificate of authenticity. It is tied on a hand-made rope necklace made with 1mm dark navy blue colored waxed cotton cords. It is fully adjustable in length up to 24". Above the Ping An Kou, there is a sterling silver Pandora style Ruyi charm. The charm features a 4mm light blue natural Guatemalan jadeite round cabochon.
