Certified grade A natural Jadeite pendant on an adjustable rope necklace. The pendant features a natural jadeite that has pastel purple color. The purple color looks more saturated under candlelight or artificial lighting. The jadeite is carved into a Pixiu (貔貅). Pixiu is an ancient Chinese mythological creature that feeds on gold and jewels and keeps all in. Pixiu is believed to bring protection to its wearer in his/her wealth and overall well-being, and to ward off negative energy.

This piece of Jadeite has translucent clarity, super pure and smooth texture, and excellent luster. What is so unique about this piece is that - for one, the Pixiu has two beautiful Ruyi carved on its back. Ruyi is mythological wish granting amulet; and two, there is a small ball inside the Pixiu's mouth. It is carved loose within the mouth. This type of carving requires time and master-level skills. The carving is all done by hand with exquisit design and intricate details. The jadeite used is all 100% natural without any treatment! Please refer to photos for size and measurements.
