Certified grade A natural jadeite pendant on an adjustable rope necklace. The jadeite featured is cut into a “donut” shaped blessing amulet, also known as Ping An Kou. "Ping An" in Chinese means "peace and safety" while "Kou" means "button". In Chinese culture, it symbolizes safety and good luck, typically used for protection and warding off negative energy.
This is an “old mine” jadeite with very unique coloring. The jadeite appears to be light gray with very subtle dusty blue undertone. The blue hue might or might not be prominent in person depending on lighting. The jadeite also has Wuji and Green marbling. Wuji refers to black marbling found in natural jadeite. It is NOT mineral inclusion. It is often compared to Chinese traditional black and white watercolor paintings for its unique picturesque patterns. It is also believed to possess protective energy and ward off negativity. The Wuji marbling is what gives the jadeite overall gray color. In addition to the unique colors, it has icy translucent clarity, extremely pure smooth, fine texture that looks like jelly, and excellent luster. Despite being a thick donut, light can travel through the material completely. The jadeite material is 100% natural and untreated. The pendant is tied on a non-stretchy rope necklace that is adjustable up to 25” in length. The donut itself weighs 7.72 grams and comes with a certificate of authenticity, Please refer to photos for actual measurements.
