Certified grade A natural Guatemalan Jadeite carved Pixiu ring in custom and handcrafted solid sterling silver setting. This is a classic solitaire ring with generous amount of silver. The ring features a natural Guatemalan dusty teal colored jadeite. Depending on lighting, the color may appear a little bit more blue or green in person. The jadeite is 100% natural and untreated. It is carved into a little pixiu. Although small, the carving is on point with beautiful design and intricate details. Pixiu is an ancient Chinese mythological creature that feeds on gold and jewels and keeps all in. Pixiu is believed to bring protection to its wearer in his/her wealth and overall well-being, and to ward off negative energy. The jadeite has icy highly translucent clarity, super clean, fine and smooth texture that looks like jelly, and outstanding luster. The setting is well made and the underside of the jadeite is finished off with sterling silver as well. The band is wide and the narrowest part is about 3.55 mm in width.
