Certified grade A natural premium Icy Jadeite Ping An Kou Pendant with a sterling silver bail. The pendant features one premium quality icy natural jadeite. It is mostly white in color with small amount of green marbling on both sides. The jadeite has icy highly translucent clarity, incredibly fine, smooth and pure texture that looks like jelly and exceptional luster. The material is so pure and clear that it appears to glow from the edges. Some natural crystal structure can be seen when light shines through it due to its high translucency. The jadeite is cut into a highly polished donut shape, which is called Ping An Kou (in Chinese). It is a blessing amulet that symbolizes safety and is believed to ward off negative energy and bring good fortune. It is a well-loved design in jadeite jewelry.
