Certified grade A natural icy jadeite Ping An Kou pendant on an adjustable rope necklace. The pendant features an "old mine" natural jadeite with unique colors. It looks light gray in color with smoky undertone and Wuji marbling. There are also some very small orange/rust colored marbling spots. The warm smoky undertone will show up more under candlelight or artificial lighting. Wuji refers to black marbling found in natural jadeite. It is NOT mineral inclusion. It is often compared to Chinese traditional black and white watercolor paintings for its unique picturesque patterns. It is also believed to possess protective energy and ward off negativity. This is a large sized pendant. Please refer to photos for size and measurements. This is cut into a Ping An Kou. Ping An Kou is a donut shaped blessing amulet. "Ping An" in Chinese means "peace and safety" while "Kou" means "button". In many cultures, it symbolizes safety and good luck, typically used for protection. The jadeite has icy translucent clarity, extremely fine, pure and smooth texture that looks like jelly, and outstanding luster. The donut weighs 26.22 grams by itself and comes with a certificate of authenticity. It comes with a gray colored rope necklace that is fully adjustable up to 26" in length.
