This is a unique piece. The jadeite has the rough or \"rind\" attached and incorporated into the design. It gives the pendant a rustic and organic look. The front of the pendant is carved with two cicadas. Cicada symbolizes resurrection, immortality, spiritual realization and ecstasy. The carving on this piece is completely done by hand with artful design and intricate details. Just a beautiful composition and execution. The section with the carving has dusty blue color, icy translucent clarity, super fine, smooth and pure texture that looks like jelly, and amazing luster. The rind of the piece on the back has rusty rich brown color, it is opaque. The front has a very thin layer of the rind which shows the brown hue, but it is dusty blue underneath. The blue undertone can be seen through the thin rind. The front side even with the rind, it is translucent, and light can shine through it. The front side has the texture of the original rind reserved. Please know there may be stone lines and\/or surface cracks on the rind. This is a large sized pendant with excellent thickness. Please refer to the photos for the measurements. The pendant is on a rope necklace that is fully adjustable up to about 27\" in length. The jadeite material is 100% natural with ZERO treatment! This necklace weighs about 62 grams entirely.
