The pendant is made of a unique bicolored natural jadeite. The outer layer or the rind of the jadeite has intense and rich cognac red color . The inner layer of the jadeite is icy white with subtle light beige undertone. Typically, the rind of the jadeite is rough, dull and opaque and full of imperfections which make them not usable. But this piece's rind is completely icy translucent and lustrous just like the inner layer, the entire piece has super fine, smooth and pure texture that looks like jelly, and exceptional luster. Please know that there may be some natural crystal structure and interior stone lines within the rind. The carving artisan artfully reserved the rind as the backdrop of the pendant, and carved the inner section of the piece into a stunning dragon. The carving is done by hand with beautiful design and intricate details. This is not an overly large pendant but with wonderful thickness. Please refer to photos for actual measurements. The pendant by itself weighs 8.15 grams and comes with a certificate of authenticity. Above the pendant, there is a natural jadeite round bead that is about 7 mm in size and matches the color and quality of the dragon. The pendant is on a non-stretchy dark brown colored rope necklace.. It is fully adjustable up to 24\". The jadeite materials used are 100% natural and untreated.
